Doron Almog has had a storied career in the Israeli military and as a champion of humane social causes, earning him the Israel Prize lifetime achievement award. He served with distinction in the IDF, retiring at the rank of major general. He is a former Senior Research Fellow at Harvard University and has published numerous books and studies on security and strategy. Gen Almog also established a rehab center for children and young adults with severe disabilities named after his son Eran. Two years ago, he succeeded now President Isaac Herzog as Chairman of the Executive of the Jewish Agency for Israel.
