The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem has established the Nehemiah Award as an annual honour bestowed on Christian leaders who have demonstrated a lifetime of achievements in building support for Israel and the Jewish people. It is named for the biblical figure Nehemiah, who led his people in rebuilding the fallen walls of Jerusalem and bringing spiritual renewal to the nation of Israel.
The ICEJ is proud to bestow this year’s Nehemiah Award on Peter and Christine Darg for their lifetime of accomplishments in standing with Israel and the Jewish people.

Originally from England, Peter Darg is an accomplished journalist and pioneer of Christian media. His wife Christine Darg comes from Virginia and is known as a respected Bible teacher and evangelist whose ministry travels have taken her around the world. They share a long history of standing strongly together for Israel.
Peter and Christine first visited Israel in 1975 when Peter was a seminary student. One year later, while serving in Israel as journalists, the Dargs were here to report on the miraculous Entebbe rescue operation in July 1976.
As they pursued the work of the ministry together, Peter and Christine were mentored by both Dr. Pat Robertson and Rev. Reinhard Bonnke, two pillars of the modern Evangelical movement.
In 1982, Peter established the Jerusalem news bureau for CBN’s 700 Club. He later produced programming for Bonnke’s ministry Christ for all Nations, which deeply impacted the continent of Africa.
Meanwhile, Christine has invested her time and giftings to expand the reach of their Exploits Ministry. The couple have travelled extensively all over Africa, the Middle East and Asia to teach about Israel and Bible prophecy, often to large crowds.
In one unique initiative, Christine came to Israel every month for ten years to hold prayer meetings for the Isaiah 19 Highway and the great harvest of souls in the Muslim world.
Today, their ministry programs are seen globally on satellite television, their website JerusalemChannel.tv, and other social media outlets.
From the beginnings of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem in 1980, the Dargs worked alongside the founders of our ministry, serving as media producers in the early years of our Feast of Tabernacles celebrations. Over the decades, Peter and Christine also presided numerous times over the Roll Call of the Nations during Sukkot, adding their own distinctive flair to this popular Feast tradition. Christine also ministered on many occasions at the Feast, in teaching seminars and healing services.
Later, the Dargs were founding members of the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus and co-chaired five Jerusalem Assemblies in the Knesset with the KCAC. Christine has been named twice among Israel’s top 50 Christian Allies by the Israel Allies Foundation.
Following the immense tragedy of October 7, Christine also became a frequent panellist and speaker on the ICEJ’s daily Global Prayer Gathering.
Based on this long, consistent record of support for Israel and the Jewish people over the course of their lives and ministry together, the ICEJ is proud to name Peter and Christine Darg as the recipients of the Nehemiah Award for 2026.
