Gideon Sa’ar serves as Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, a position he has held since November 2024. A veteran Israeli statesman and lawyer, he has held several senior cabinet positions, including Minister of Justice, Minister of Education and Minister of the Interior, as well as serving as Deputy Prime Minister. He has also served as Cabinet Secretary and held senior leadership positions in the Knesset.

Born in Tel Aviv, Sa’ar studied political science and law at Tel Aviv University following his military service. Over more than two decades in Israeli public life, he has played a prominent role in shaping policy on national security, legal and constitutional affairs, education and Israel’s relations with the international community. As Foreign Minister, Sa’ar represents Israel on the global stage at a consequential time for the country, leading diplomatic engagement with governments and international institutions worldwide.
