Feast volunteers

AJ's Club - Children's Ministry Team (length of service: approximately 10 days)

AJ's Club is a ministry to children attending the Feast from ages 1 to 7. If you have experience and a love for children's ministry, then this is the team for you. Team Members will assist with a nursery (age 1 to 4 years) and a 5 to 7 year old group. Team Members assist with the development of lesson plans and their presentation as well as the development and presentation of crafts and other activities.

Catering Team (length of service: 10 days to 3 weeks)

Team Members in this department will serve directly under the ICEJ head chef and assist with the preparation and service of all meals, snacks, functions, and receptions as required, before and during the Feast. Service includes: food prep, food service, food storage, assembling and packing of all foods; maintenance and cleaning of all food preparation and service areas, and collection of waste.

Knowledge of food prep is not essential, but helpful. Applicants will need to possess strong people skills, must be able to endure long hours and be patient.

First Aid Team (length of service: 10 days to 3 weeks)

This department provides basic first-aid and emergency response during the Feast at various Feast venues and in residency at the Team Members' accommodation. A certification in nursing or as a paramedic is required.

Headsets Team (length of service: approximately 10 days)

Team Members in this department are responsible for the distribution of translation headsets to pilgrims during the Feast. Also being sought is a Team Member interested in leading the Headsets/Translation department for the Feast beginning in 2017. *Estimated Fees are approximations and are therefore subject to change without notice. Final fees will be established prior to sending acceptance letters to team members. Listed amounts are PER TEAM MEMBER.

Housing Team (length of service: 3 weeks to 1 month)

The Housing Team is responsible for the arrangement and management of accommodating Feast Team Members. Housing Team Members will work directly with the ICEJ Housing Coordinator and should:

∞ be flexible;
∞ prepared for long hours;
∞ be able to receive instructions;
∞ possess a servant's heart;
∞ ideally have basic computer skills;
∞ be willing to arrive a few days earlier than the first arrival date (before September 25th)

Housing Team Members should love people and possess strong people skills, as situations may occur that requires one to adapt quickly in shuffling and coordinating rooming lists or meal schedules. Housing Team Members will have an opportunity to interact with all Feast Teams, as well as ICEJ Staff involved with the Feast of Tabernacles.

Logistics Team (length of service: 2 weeks to 1 month)

The Logistics Team is the "make it happen" and "glue" that holds things together for each of the many departments before, during and after the event. It is responsible for the timely collection of equipment/ resources and its subsequent transfer/transport to each of the departments and venues. It works closely with all staff and teams and enjoys a varied workday, usually beginning after our team breakfast at 8:00.

On certain days, you will be expected to work into the late hours of the night so it is important that you be flexible and display a good sense of humor; these are just two of the foundational characteristics we look for when building and maintaining a solid team. It goes without saying that as a servant of Jesus we offer excellent service, with a smile.

Applicants should be strong individuals, have a heart for service, patient and able to endure hours of physical labor, when required. Though it is a time for hard work, you should expect to have fun whilst making some of the best relationships of your life.

Media Office Assistant (length of service: approximately 10 days)

Team Members in this position are involved in all aspects of media work during the Feast, including - but not limited to - reporting, networking, copy editing, etc. as well as secretarial work and close cooperation with photographers. Team Members must speak English, possess good communication skills, and be willing to work long hours.

Photography (length of service: approximately 10 days)

Team Members are responsible for the capture, editing and distribution of the thousands of still images taken during the Feast. Professional experience with DSLR cameras and the editing and upload/ downloading of digital images is necessary. You will be responsible for bringing your own equipment.

Registration Team (length of service: 2 weeks to 1 month)

Team Members assist with the registration of international and local delegates attending the Feast and interact with Pilgrims from around the world. Positive relationship skills and the ability to smile in difficult situations is a must. Excellent computer skills such as the ability to navigate databases and web-based applications are essential. Applicants must speak English; however, bilingualism in Chinese, Finnish, French, German, Portuguese, Spanish or Hebrew is advantageous.

Resources Team (length of service: 10 days to 2 weeks)

This Feast Team is responsible for selling books, CDs, DVDs and other ICEJ materials at the Embassy Resources booth in the Feast vendor area, and also for packing the materials into boxes to be moved from the store to the booth and then back again, with the help of the Logistics Team. The ability to work easily with financial transactions is encouraged as well as the ability to sustain long hours (the Resources booth opens before and closes after the day's events). The packing of the materials must be done quickly and orderly. Responsible, level-headed, hard-working individuals with good people skills are needed in this area.

Security Team (length of service: approximately 10 days)

This Feast Team serves in conjunction with the security companies of the Feast event venues to provide the security apparatus of the Feast. Team Members should be individuals with previous experience in security and access control. Key attributes are an awareness of public safety concerns and a keen sense of public relations. Team Members will need to show initiative and yet work as a team in projecting an image of authority. Team Members must be prepared to serve for long hours and, at times, deal with stressful situations.

Social Media Team (length of service: approximately 10 days)

Team Members must represent a good working knowledge of social media, especially Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Social Media work is very time sensitive, so Team Members should be comfortable with spontaneity in their work, be readily available, and open to potentially long work hours. Applicants must speak English and possess good communication skills.

Translation Team (length of service: approximately 10 days)

This department is responsible for the translation (from English) of Feast speakers to other languages, including Chinese/Mandarin, Danish, Dutch, Portuguese, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Slovak, Spanish, Russian, and Thai. Applicants should be fluent in English and in the language for which they choose to translate. Also being sought is a Team Member interested in leading the Headsets/ Translation Team for the Feast beginning in 2017. Transport Team (length of service: 3 weeks to 1 month)

The Transport Team is responsible for the transportation of +250 Team Members, guest speakers, some staff and Directors. Duties take place before, during, and after the Feast of Tabernacles. Drivers need to be very flexible, able to receive instruction and possess a servant's heart. Transport Team Members are issued a regularly updated driving schedule. Those accepted as part of the Transport Team should:

∞ be comfortable driving a manual/shift gear nine-seater passenger van;
∞ be over 25 years old;
∞ have a valid driver’s license; and
∞ be prepared for driving in heavy traffic and under demanding conditions.

A general knowledge of Jerusalem’s roads is helpful but not essential.

TV Production Team (length of service: 10 days)

This team is responsible for shooting and editing video footage at the Feast. Professional experience with DSLR cameras is a requirement. Prior experience with editing in Premier Pro is preferred, but not required. A basic understanding of lighting, shot composition, and editing is required. This person will assist the TV team as a grip and based on level of experience may have the opportunity to shoot and edit.

Ushering Team (length of service: approximately 10 days)

Ushers assist and direct delegates at all Feast events and participate in the practical functions of the Feast. Applicants must be able to work as part of a team, accept and give instruction, and have a servant's heart with a firm resolve. Team Members must also be able to stand for long periods of time.

Video Duplication Team (length of service: approximately 10 days)

This department is responsible for the recording of Feast seminars and speakers and for the duplication of these recordings. Technical knowledge and experience with video duplication equipment is advantageous.

Creative Ministry Feast Teams

Costumes Team (length of service: 1 month)

Work in the costume department begins about 1 month prior to the Feast. Those serving in this department are responsible for the management, fitting and tailoring of all the beautiful costumes worn by dancers, vocalists, and musicians as well as the garments worn by our ushers. Skilled seamstresses are needed to assist with sewing and alterations, as well as assisting with the maintenance and organization of costumes. Team Members should be willing to work long hours and easily follow specific instructions.

Music Administrative Assistant (length of service: 3 weeks to 1 month)

Team Members are involved in all aspects of the Music Office administration. This includes general office and secretarial work; the management of music files, equipment, and personnel, as well as being responsible for the artists' product table in the Feast vendor area. Team Members should be willing to work long hours.

Musicians (length of service: 3 weeks)

Instrumentalists can apply to participate in the Feast orchestra and rhythm section. The nature of the Feast requires that a large quantity of music be learned in a short period of time. For this reason, the ability to read music and retain information is required in this fast-paced environment.

Stage Production Team (length of service: 2 weeks)

This team is responsible for the final dressing and maintenance of the Feast stage, as well as the upkeep of all props used during the celebrations. Team Members must be willing to work long hours and able to do some physical labor. It is important to be flexible, reliable and display a pleasant and relaxed demeanor. Experience in backstage management and assisting is advantageous.

Tabernacle Dance Company (length of service: 3 weeks)

Requirements for the dance company include at least 4 years of full-time technical training (or an intermediate-level equivalent) in ballet, jazz, modern or gymnastics. Due to limited preparation time, the ability to quickly incorporate and retain choreography is vital. A fusion of various dance/movement styles are utilized in our choreography, so experience in partnering, acrobatics, gymnastics and/or theatre (in addition to dance training) will be a great assistance to the team as we rehearse.

Technical Production Team (length of service: 2 weeks)

This team requires individuals with experience in the technical aspects of theatrical productions, as well as multimedia creation and projection through ProPresenter software. You will work alongside the Stage Production Team and must be willing and capable to work long hours.

Vocalists (length of service: 3 weeks)

Vocalists can apply for the Feast worship ensemble. Sight reading skills are extremely helpful, along with the ability to adapt easily to various musical styles.

Morning Worship Team (length of service: 10 days)

This team is responsible for the morning worship times at the Feast and the Garden Tomb service. Includes vocalists and selected musicians (guitar, piano, drums).
